Julian laughed. "I haven't even done anything." He pointed the knife at her in a reprimanding way, "This only proves that you don't eat your vegetables." He smirked at her and continued to chop. "Carnivores." He sighed. Once the vegetables and minor ingredients were chopped, he placed them in separate bowls, just in time to hear the chicken finish. Humming a random tune, Julian took out the heated chicken and placed it in a pot of boiling water. "Let's see..." He muttered as he got out the casserole pan and began to layer it with some vegetables.
Once the chicken was cooked. Julian drained the pot and carefully began to slice the chicken. "Now...this is the proper way to eat meat..." He told her as he then laid some slices on top of the cut vegetables and then layered some cheese, salsa (that he had made after cutting the veggies), and tortilla on top of it. He repeated that routine until there was three nice even layers.
He set the oven earlier and now it was ready for him to place the pan inside. He did so. Cleaning up the counter, he washed the equipment and then found a saute pan. "I can see you need to eat more vegetables." He said as he began to sautee the remaining vegetables that he didn't use.
After 35 minutes had passed since he started, Julian carefully pulled out the food. "Now...where are the plates and cups?" He wondered out loud as he poured the sautee veggies into a dish. "And...what do you have to drink? Oh! I know!" Julian snapped his fingers. "Be right back!" He said and teleported out.
A few minutes later, he returned, with an iced bottle of red wine. "This goes well with chicken..." He stated matter-of-factly and placed it down. "Got this from France." he grinned.

The way Julian moved about the kitchen, it seemed almost like a dance. Sahira watched attentively, feeling almost hypnotized by the expertice of his cooking. She had to laugh at his scolding her about vegetables. There was no way to deny it. Besides, her alternate form was a large cat. Of course she ate more meat! When the meal was close to finished, there was no doubt it was the most extravegant meal ever concocted in her kitchen. At Julian's query of cups and plates, Sahira pointed to a cupboard above the sink, but Julian was suddenly gone. Shrugging, she got up and retrieved plates and cups, setting them on the counter so they'd be ready when Julian returned. Before going back to her seat, she eyed the cooling cassarole. The creation was truly impressive. Recalling how fast Julian could teleport, Sahira hurried back to her seat before she could be caught inspecting the savory dish.
As soon as she sat back down, Julian reapeared, bearing a bottle of wine. "You went all the way to France!" she said in disbelief, eyeing the bottle he set down. As the label was in French, she coudn't doubt him very long. Sahira let a low whistle imagining the cost of expensive wine. "Wow, Julian. When I said spectacular, I thought maybe a BLT." She grinned, "I am truly impressed."
OOC: And now I am hungry. lol

OOC: hahaha! well, i wish I had julian make me that too..blast it! Its a good dish and now, I am hungry! lol
Julian took a glance around the kitchen and noticed that Sahira had brought out the plates and cups. He grinned at her surprise of him going to France. "And that is why, you need to get out more. Honestly, a BLT. How simple is that? Nope, eating is an art." He smirked as he began to unload a nice pile of casserole on Sahira's plate, followed by some vegetables. He did the same for himself. "Now, this is a Chateau Patreuse, 1982." It's delicious." He held up the wine. "This, I think, will impress you more." He uncorked the bottle over the sink and wiped any spills. He then proceded to fill both of their cups.
"Now, dig in and tell me what you think." He gestured towards the food as he picked up his own fork.

Taking up her fork, Sahira shoveled up a portion and took the first bite. There was definitely that authentic mexican quality to it, something she'd go to a restraunt for. But, it was also strangely homey. Maybe because it was in the form of a casserole. She hadn't eaten anything like this since her parents had died. The orphanage didn't exactly specialize in home-cooking. "Wow, Julian. Besides the whole fighting thing, I'd follow you around just to taste more of your cooking." She gave him a small, playful smile, then grabbed her cup. The fact that this fine wine was floating in a coffee mug nearly made her laugh. "Sorry about the cups." she said, before taking a sip. The warmth of the wine swam down her throat, resting comfortably in her stomach. It was a heady flavor, aged was perhaps the word. "Yum." was her genius remark. "You're right. This wine really ties the whole meal together." Falling silent, she set to eating the rest of her portion.

Julian smiled as she complimented his cooking. "Well, I'm glad I can cook for somebody either than myself." He took a bite and shrugged off the coffee mug. "Well, I just hope it teaches you a lesson to indulge yourself once in awhile." He returned her playful smile with his own as he continued to eat. He laughed at her reaction to the wine. "You really need to get out more." His laughter died down as he placed another forkful in his mouth. As they ate, he felt his phone vibrate. Glancing down at it, as it was clipped to his belt, he noticed that he received a text message from that mysterious caller. "Mmm, excuse me for a sec." He said as he unhooked his phone and checked the message.
Be in D.C. tomorrow. We'll discuss the details there. The text read.
Slowly chewing as he processed this new information, Julian placed his phone back in its clip and took another bite.

Looking down, Sahira focused on her food while Julian checked his message. Eating the last of the greens, she thought that maybe tomorrow would be the day of indulgence. She didn't have anything planned, so why not splurge. The apartment could use a little decoration. The last bite down, Sahira set down her fork and looked back up. There was a thoughtful look in Julian's eyes now. She drummed her fingers on the counter, desperately wanting to know what the message had said. To keep herself from asking, she took up her plate, going to the sink to wash it.

Julian didn't speak until after he finished his bite while Sahira went to wash her plate. "Sorry. Work." He said as he took a sip of the wine. The red lubricant tingled as the sweet sensation passed down his throat. He finished his food while Sahira was washing her dish. "So, any plans for tomorrow?" He asked her as he waited for her to finish in the sink; he didn't want to accidentally touch her.

Looking at Julian from the corner of her eye, Sahira shrugged. "I think I might take your advice and indulge myself." She gestured vaguely around the apartment. "This place could use some sprucing up." Seeing that he was done with his plate, Sahira held out a hand for it. "You cooked, now I get to clean." She raised an eyebrow, letting him know she wouldn't tolerate any argument on the matter. As she waited for the plate, she wondered what sort of work he was doing.

Knowing an argument was useless, he handed her the empty plate. "Thanks." He said as he glanced around the room and then laughed. "You'll need a lot of things to spruce up this place." He joked as a smile lingered on his face. "Perhaps I'll even come over more often. I'll use the door of course." He quickly added, knowing how it may have sounded. "But, probably after my business trip." He watched her as she washed, and couldn't help but trace the figure of her body. He shook himself, knowing that that was inappropriate. Stupid wine. He thought. He diverted his attention towards cleaning the left overs. "You got boxes I can put these in?" He asked, trying not to glance her way.

Scrubbing down the plate, Sahira had to smirk at Julian's joke. It was true, though. Her place really was pretty baren. Heck, if it meant he would come over more she'd gladly spend a paycheck on dec. Having no friends quickly became boring, and with Julian, she didn't have to worry about hiding anythng. She realized with a little bitterness that he was really her only friend. Whatever, one good friend was better than a group of clueless fakes. At the mention of his business trip, she looked over at him curiously, then looked quickly away as he almost caught her staring. Setting the plate on a towell to dry, she retrieved two plastic containers. "Right here." she said, handing them over to Julian. Taking her mug, she sipped at the remaining wine.

"Thanks." He said as he gently took it from her hands, being very careful not to touch her. He placed the boxes on the counter and began to put the food away. "Now, you have a good week of healthy food in your fridge." He said as he opened it and placed them away. he went to wash his hands and then situated himself against the counter.
Now that dinner was over, Julian didn't know what to do nor did he know if Sahira wanted him out or not. Now he knew why he didn't stay home; there was nothing to do. He glanced over at his gloves, grabbed them, and placed them on. He took another sip of wine, not knowing what they could do next. "So..." He let his thought trail there, since he didn't know what to do.

"So..." Sahira repeated, regarding Julian over the rim of her mug. She felt like their little reunion was about to end, and for some reason it freaked her out. Who knew how long it would be until she saw another friendly face, let alone his. "Unless you're in a hurry, you could stick around, watch my nice HD TV." She glanced at the bottle of French wine. "Maybe finish that off."

Julian raised an eyebrow at the thought of watching on the plasma. His eyebrow went even higher on the thought of drinking more. He smiled. "No, I'm not in a hurry, but I don't want to intrude either." He said as he poured a little more into his cup. He proffered the bottle to her. "No sense in drinking alone." He danced the bottle in front of her.

Snagging the bottle out of his hand, Sahira topped her mug off with more of the rich wine. "My thoughts exactly." she said, taking a drink. "And don't worry about intruding. If you become too much of a bother I'll just throw you out." Laughing, bottle in one hand, mug in the other, Sahira retreated to the living room. Sitting herself down on the couch, she set the wine on the coffee table, then grabbed the remote. "Here. You pick." she said to Julian, offering him the device. "Although I think I can guess what it will be."

Julian grinned as she took the bottle. "I'm glad I can count on you to keep me in line." He laughed as he followed her over to the couch. Reclining into it, he felt very content on sitting with his friend. He happily took the remote and scoffed when she assumed what they were going to watch. "I can watch other channels besides the Food network." He said as he scanned the channels. Finding nothing to his liking, he gave a sheepish smile as he turned to the Food Network. "Its Iron Chef!" He said rather defensively at Sahira as he drank some more wine. "You cannot say no to the Chef."

"ha!" Sahira laughed as Julian resorted to the food network. She knew he would eventually. Watching the chef's dash around as they tried to prepare an original meal, Sahira found it more amusing than anything. "I could probably say no to him." she said lazily, sipping her wine. "Although, he is rather intense." She grimaced as one of the chefs sliced open a large fish. "Gruesome." she muttered, grimacing.

"Says the one who's sole profession is to beat the other guy into a bloody pulp!" Julian said, with a some hint of a slur as he drank more wine. "That, my friend," He pointed at the fish as it was being filleted, "is art." He propped up his hand and rested it on the arm chair, while his head rested in his gloved hand. "You know, one day, I'm gonna open a restaurant of my own. It'll be huge!" He emphasized with his cup as he soared it over his vision. "I just got to get over the whole not touching thing...one day..." He slurred a bit more as he became intoxicated; he never did know how to hold his liquor.

Sahira laughed aloud at Julian, watching him sucumb to the wine's influence. "Hey, we all have dreams." she said, lifting a brow. "And I wouldn't worry too much about the touching thing. That's what these are for." she said, tapping his gloved hand. "Anyways, at least you've got the skill to open a restraunt." Sitting up straighter, Sahira said quietly, as if revealing a secret, "I wanted to be a balerina." She nodded her head slowly, "I can't even dance!" Laughing, she took another drink of the heady wine.

Julian nearly choked on his wine when he heard Sahira's confession. "No!? You're kidding?! A ballerina? Really?" He stifled a laugh. "With the tutu and all!?" He let his laughter out then. "Haha, you...ballerina...pink tutu...tights! AHAHAHA!" His laughter boomed across the apartment. "Oh, I can't breathe...taht's too funny!" He practically giggled as he held his stomach. "Little boxer Sahira in a tutu!! Ahahaha! I can't get that image out of my head!" He laughed harder.

Even if she was a little tippsy, Sahira didn't take kindly to being laughed at. She was having a hard time looking mad, though, as Julian's laughter was surprisingly contagious. "It's not funny!" she said, trying to be stern. When it seemed hopeless trying to talk him out of it, Sahira balled up a fist and jabbed him in the arm. "Stop laughing at my childhood dream." She said, her actions conflicting with the smile that was trying to emerge.
