Julian pressed his lips together, listening to Sahira's opinion. "So you would take it? Even if it meant that you have to deal with the consequences after wards?" He hesitated to respond to her last question. "I...well...it may not be hypothetical..." He trailed off and his eyes settled on the black case.

May not be hypothetical... Her heart skipped a beat at the idea. If Julian could touch again... "You mean, someone offered you a shot to nullify your abilities for 24 hours." She searched his eyes, wondering who would have done that, who could make up such a powerful shot. "Who gave it to you?" she asked, trying to keep a clear head. "Is this a person you can trust?"

"Does it matter who gave it to me?" Julian asked as his eyes bore into Sahira's. "He's offering me a chance to help me. What I'm asking you, is whether or not I should take him up for it?" He took a step forward towards Sahira. "If I can be able to touch again...to feel...to be human, isn't the risk worth it?" He asked, trying to figure out what was right or wrong; the lines seem to cross so much these days.

Sahira had never seen Julian this intense, or confused, before. When he stepped closer, her heart beat a little faster. It wasn't fear. Even if he could kill by a touch, she would never be afraid of him. This feeling, it was similar to the restlessness she had felt yesterday, just before meeting him again. But there was something else, something she couldn't quite name. What was certain, though, was that she wanted him to take the shot, to be touchable for 24 hours. "Yes." she said after a moment, "I think it's worth it."

Julian stared at Sahira, trying to figure out what she was thinking. Her face was determined and confident as she stared right back at him. The intensity of the stare stirred up feelings he never thought he was capable of having towards another person. If he could just touch her... The thought flashed across his head like a beacon. "Ok." He whispered and bent down to opened the box. Flicking the tab open, Julian once again stared at the syringe.
Removing his jacket, he rolled up his left sleeve, revealing the veins in his arm. Nervous, his hands shook lightly as he removed his gloves. Carefully, he lifted the syringe out of the box like it was the Holy Grail. With one glance and nervous smile at Sahira, Julian injected himself in his main artery. His lip curled as the feeling of hot coals was burning his insides erupted within his arm. After a few seconds, the serum was now fully coursing through his body. He put the syringe back into the box and then glanced up at Sahira, a confused look on his face. Did it work? He wondered and motioned to stand up. "I don't feel any different...maybe I was lied to." He said with some sadness. When he was halfway up a sharp stabbing pain exploded within him. "Agh!" He cried out in pain and fell to the floor; on his knees as his hands tried to support him. "God! It burns!!" He grimaced and groaned as the burning feeling was intensified into the feeling as if every bone in his body was thrown into the Sun, one at a time. His hands started to shake and when he glanced at them, he saw his skin crawl slightly. Unknown to him, the serum was actually inhibiting the metallic layer that covered his bones; they were receding back to some unknown origin as the chemicals was inhibiting his abilities. After being in intense agony for about 10 minutes, Julian collapsed completely onto the floor. Sweat seeped through every pore as he struggled to regain focus of his mind and not of the pain. Vision blurred and completely exhausted, Julian laid on the floor breathing like a swimmer coming up for air.

Seeing the needle, Sahira sucked in her breath, praying it was what they thought. A temporary cure. As Julian carefully prepared his arm for the shot, she didn't even dare to breath. The moment was intense, hopeful, frightful even. When it seemed the serum was having no effect, Sahira couldn't help but frown in dissapointment. If only- suddenly Julian was on the ground, crying out in pain. Horrified, Sahira dropped to her knees beside him, hands hovering over his shaking body. Was this it, was this poison that was causing him such pain? Selfish. she screamed at herself. You were only thinking about yourself, you selfish idiot! "My God, Julian, I'm sorry." she said, although he was in such agony she wasn't sure he heard. Close to tears, Sahira felt completely useless kneeling infront of him, floundering like a fish out of water. What could she do, though? It seemed like an eternity had passed, before Julian fell limply to the floor. There had to be a way to help... Resolved in her next action, Sahira clenched her jaw, then reached out to lay a hand on his burning cheek. If he could sap her energy, he could live, maybe. After a second, when nothing happened, she put her other hand on his other cheek.

Sahira's touch was like ice on Julian's burning cheek. "Mmm...your hands are cold..." He muttered through breaths, without thinking and placed both hands on top of hers. Then it struck him and he exhaled with joy. "Your hands are cold." He repeated. His vision slowly came back, but he could already make out the silhouette that was Sahira. He gave her an exhausted grin. "I'm...normal." The phrase seemed so mundane...so ordinary, but to him, in this moment, it was everything. He let one of his hands drop down, but kept the other one on Sahira's, relishing in the touch. "I'm normal." He let out a giddy chuckle.

Sahira's eyes had been closed while she tried passing her life-force into Julian. She was afraid to open them, afraid to find him dead. Feeling the touch of his hands, her eyes snapped open. He was looking at her, smiling, alive. He was alive, and she wasn't dying just by his touch. Sahira's breath came out in a woosh as she realized what it meant. The shot had worked. The mysterious man hadn't been lying. Someone, somewhere, was working on a cure. And in the meantime...
With her free hand, Sahira brushed her knuckles down his cheek, let her palm rest on his neck, amazed that there were no deadly consequences. She found herself drawing closer to him, her hand trailing back up his neck until it held his cheek again. Suddenly unsure, she paused. What if this was all wrong. What if Julian didn't want her? "You must be thirsty." she said lamely, withdrawing. "I'll get you some water." Standing up, hoping she hadn't made herself look like an idiot, Sahira retreated to the kitchen.

Julian's heart quickened as Sahira traced his neck and cheek. He was surprised that such a tough boxer could be so gentle. He withheld a satisfying sigh from her touch, unsure if she wanted the same thing he did. For a moment he believed it, as his heart beat nearly leapt out of his chest when she seemed to draw closer. His body was back on fire, but not from the serum as he watched her. And then it was like someone dumped him into the Arctic circle.
Who was he kidding? He was probably just hallucinating from exhaustion. Why would she want someone like him? He wasn't the greatest person in the world and he had done things that probably would put him in prison for at least two lifetimes. He sighed when she left to get water. After that "fun" little excursion, Julian's throat did feel parched, but that was not what he wanted at the moment. Sprawled on the floor, Julian closed his eyes and tried to slow down his heart beat as he listened to Sahira's rhythmic footsteps fade towards the kitchen. A smile crept back into his lips. I'm still human.

Returning with the water, Sahira knelt back down beside Julian. Spotting his smile, she couldn't help but grin as well. "Here," she said, handing him the cup. "For someone who just went through minutes of pain, you seem to be doing fine. So," she asked, brushing away a lock of hair that fallen into her face, "how do you feel?" For herself, Sahira still felt restless, her heart still pounding uneccesarily fast. She still felt confused, a little hopeful, and tense. "What are you going to do," she asked, trying to sound nonchalant, "now that you can touch again?" Sahira looked away, feeling foolish for asking. She knew what she wanted to do... But this wasn't about her.

OOC: LOL! So i read the first sentence and I thought...oh no...is she gonna drop the water on him? lol
Julian's eyes flashed opened when he heard Sahira's footsteps running back. Sitting up with some difficulty, but not much as the pain was dying down, Julian spotted Sahira's grin. Now eye leveled with her, he took the cup of water. What did he want to do? He chewed on that thought as he studied her features. Damn, he thought as she glanced away, she's beautiful. He grinned. He knew exactly how he wanted to spend the next 24 hours. Not taking his eyes off her, he slowly drank from the cup of water, allowing silence to dominant the conversation for a bit. Finished with the cup, he lowered it. "What do you think I want to do?" He asked her, a humored eyebrow raised, "I want to spend the day with you." His expression grew more serious as he allowed one of his hands to touch her cheek. His eyes locked with hers, a meaningful and hopeful look.

OOC: HAHAHA! that would have been funny. The silence that reigned while Julian drank the cup of water was not uncomfortable, but intense. Sahira could feel his eyes on her, knew he was watching her as he took his time. She dared to look up once, catching his eyes. There was purposeful intent in those green eyes, an intent that made Sahira's heart beat even more quickly, made her previous doubt vanish. In that instant, she knew they both wanted the same thing. The hand on her cheek was confirmation. Seeing the hope in his eyes demolished the last of her reserve. With a raging heartbeat, Sahira drew herself close to Julian, one hand grasping the back of his neck. She hesitated, her face inches from his, eyes searching his own, his cheeks, his jaw, his lips... Her lips found his then, urgent and eager. OOC: haha. Go girl. You get yourself some Julian.

OOC: Lol! Oh, you're too funny. lol!
Passion ignited within Julian as Sahira pressed herself closer towards him, wanting the same thing; there was no doubt in her eyes. Julian's right hand found itself behind Sahira's neck as he became caught up with her eager kiss, drawing her closer with yearning of his own as he gently lowered her down with him to the floor. His other hand settling on her hip. He never felt like this before and he momentarily wondered why he hadn't pursued her before, after knowing her for over a year. The answer was simple: he could kill her with one touch. Then something struck him that caused him to stop.
"Wait, wait." He parted from her, lightly gasping from some air. "We need to take this slow..." He told her, but not feeling the words. "Its just...if...we...you know go through with this..." He gazed up at her, his eyes searching hers. "And believe me, i really want to go through with this, it just..." His hand caressed her hair. "...this time tomorrow I won't be able to touch you...we'll be right back were we started." He said, expressing his concern. "It'll be that much harder to be together...so...despite what I want to do...I think...we need to slow things down a bit..."

OOC: lol
Sahira's body was on fire. Not in the normal, shifting way, or the muggy california way. This was completely different, and completely wonderful. The touch of his hands, the curve of his lips, she wanted all of him. Clumsy in her passion, she tore open a considerable amount of the buttons of his shirt. As her hands were exploring his chest, he broke contact, raising his head. In her desire, she was having a hard time taking in his words. When what he was saying finally sank in, Sahira let her hands drop from his chest, embarassed. I don't care! she wanted to scream, I don't care if I can't touch you tomorrow, I can touch you now! But she witheld, finding the wisdom in his words, even if they were undesirable. If not for her own sake, she would withold for Julians. It would be cruel for him to experience all this only to know he would never be able to again.
"Shot. You're right." she said, uncouth. Strangely, she felt like crying. Why did she have to fall for a guy she couldn't touch? "Sorry about your shirt." she said, a little breathless, staring at the mess she had made of it. "God, this sucks." she added, covering her face with her hands.

Julian had a considerably hard time trying to concentrate on his words as Sahira's hands swept over his chest. "Hey," he frowned when she hid her face from him. "it's gonna be all right." One hand gently removed her hands. He tried to reassure her, despite his own annoyance with himself. Why did he now have to go and play the good guy? Not liking to see her unhappy, he gave a devilish grin. "You're not even going to try and convince me otherwise? I mean, you tore up my shirt, I think you at least owe me some convincing or compromise." He shot up an eyebrow, daring her. "And another thing, we need to work on your language, Missy." His eyes lowered towards her lips, "I think I know one way to fix that." He lowered his head to meet her lips again, hoping this time, to at least control himself.

OOC: Mind if I join this little reunion of Godsenders? Nice place to interupt, too. lol.
Tamora stood at the door, feeling just a little tired. She was feeling a little more sick than usual today. The cancer was starting to catch up to her, and she hoped the cure wouldn't take long to find. She checked the address again. If this was right, she was at Sahira Linden's place. She wished for a moment she had a tazer or something. Sahira might not like seeing a former Company worker at her door. She knocked firmly twice. Whatever her reaction, Sahira had to be hunted by Danko like she was. She glanced both ways to make sure no one was watching while she waited for an answer.

OOC: Nice. lol
Oh, there were more than few convincing words in Sahira's mind. Convincing, and perhaps some begging. She found it hard to say anything, though, under his impassioned gaze. All her convincing plans were scrambled as he kissed her again, softly. But softly didn't seem good enough. Bringing her hands up, she slowly drew them up his chest, to his neck. Just before she really lost control, a knock sounded at her door. Sahira stiffened. Who would that be? The only person who would be knocking on her door was Julian, and she had him right where she wanted him.
Annoyed, and suspicious, Sahira felt something like a growl rise up in her throat. She considered ignoring the person. Whoever it was would never know. But if it were government agents outside, they wouldn't hesitate to knock down the door. "I'd better see who that is," she said, glancing up at Julian. Leaning up, Sahira kissed him softly, just for a second, before extracating herself from. In moments she was on her feet and to the door, that shifting warmth tingling at her fingertips. Sahira didn't try to push it away this time. Against government agents, she would willingly let the beast out. Taking hold of the doorknob, she twisted and opened the door a crack, glaring outside. Her eyes widened at the familiar face that stood outside. A face that had been in the business of capturing people with abilities, a person Sahira considered an enemy. "You." she snarled, a literal growl rolling from her throat. Dashing outside, she grabbed the woman by the throat, pushing her against the wall. "Why are you here." she demanded, her amber eyes smoldering with fury.

Tamora should have expected it, but Sahira still caught her by surprise when she shoved her against a wall. She stared calmly into the woman's amber eyes for a moment. "Let go of me," she ordered, using her power. She felt a spike of throbbing pain in her head and ignored it. "I'm here because I need help. Believe me when I say you're not the only one the government's after. I'm searching for someone to help me stop them."

No matter how hard she tried, Sahira couldn't resist the woman's ability. Grimacing, she released Tamora and stepped back, hands clenched into fists. "Really? You, who willingly captured our kind before, now wants to stop them from rounding us up? Maybe I'm crazy, but that strikes me as odd." Sahira blocked her doorway, not wanting this woman to have access to Julian.

OOC: lol. Oh, jeriah you always crack me up. lol
Julian let out an irritated moan as he heard someone knock on the door. "Leave it." He muttered as he began kissing her neck. He let out a sigh when she decided to open the door. "Mmm." He murmured as she kissed him and left him on the floor. "It better be important." He said as he rolled onto his side, one hand supporting his head, one leg bent to keep him steady. Julian waited as Sahira answered the door, but he thought he heard her growl. Thinking that it was an unwanted guest; he thought it might have been Agents, but the thought of them knocking and none of them raiding made him disregard that idea, he intended to get up and see what the problem was. "Probably a salesman." He muttered as he got up. Seeing his ruined shirt for the first time, Julian chuckled as he tucked his shirt back in and grabbed his jacket to hide his chest.
As he neared the door, Julian heard Sahira arguing with someone...who's voice was very familiar. "Sahira?" Julian opened the door a bit further to see what was going on. He froze when he saw Tamora. "Tamora." He looked at the woman, shocked to find her here. He looked at her carefully, remembering the last time he saw her was in Pinehearst...in a cell. He clenched his jaw. "What are you doing here?" His eyes shifted over to Sahira and then back at Tamora.
