The soldiers hung around the cabin some more, questioning the grandparents about Sahira; where did they find her? Did she tell them anything? Did they notice anything unusual. However, they didn't getting any pleasing answers and decided to take them to base ops for further interrogation.
"Take them. We don't have much time to deal with them here." The second in command ordered. "Yes, sir." "Get a crew to clean up the mess, too. Both of them." He referred to the helicopter and hummer chase. "Yes, sir." The commander nodded and was about to leave, when he noticed a picture in the hall. Taking the photo, he noticed a young girl in the photos. He glanced around, wondering if the young girl lived here...and was still here. "Private." "Yes, sir." "Are you sure this whole place has been searched." "I believe so, sir." "That's not good enough. Search the whole place again. EVERYBODY!" He yelled and the soldier quickly obeyed.
*** Julian grimaced. "Do you remember that I said there would be consequences if I took that shot?" He asked sahira, his eyes serious and forlorn at the same time. "I haven't been searching for a cure, Sahira...I've been trying to get it."

Caelin froze. sonaofa... she didnt like this at all! she quietly went out the window nabbing her sunglasses. Whod a thought helping out kyra would have brought on so much trouble. she then quietly went back in as if just arriving knowing noone was outside as shed checked first. and promptly screamed as if shed just climbed into her room and found two dead bodies. not that she had to fake it...she was already freaked out by everything. she even managed to keep her shape....yay! socks jumped totally not expecting that. hey! a little warning next time! sheesh.

It took Sahira a moment to process what Julian had said. Still a little sluggish from the tranquilizer, she struggled a little to sit up. Turning to face Julian, Sahira tried to think of what he meant. If he was trying to get it, then the cure was already created. But, the consequences... "Explain." she said finally, her voice comming out harder than she wanted.

Hearing someone enter the house, a few troops pointed a gun at Caelin as she entered and screamed. "Stop right, there. Who are you?!" One of them ordered, eying her with suspicion.
*** Julian didn't say anything as Sahira demanded an explanation. He bit his lip and allowed a sigh escape him. "I received a call a few weeks back...before any of this started. This guy wanted to hire me...and he knew about me. He offered me a cure for the, uh, negative properties of my abilities. He said he would contact me later." He got up from the bed and went to the window. "He did contact me...I went to D.C. and got the syringe. He told me to try it out...but he said that if I ever wanted more...I would have to hunt my own kind."
He pressed his lips, focusing his stare at Sahira, wondering what was going through her head. "He gave me three days to think it over. I wasn't going to do it...I thought maybe I could figure out a way to use my blood since it was already exposed to the serum...but...there wasn't a trace...and I couldn't help but think what would happen if I could just touch you again...to be normal...and then Tamora came into my head, which made me pity her because I had access to a cure." He waved his hand, his tone angry, as he was angry with himself. "So, I thought, maybe, if I joined this guy...who called himself Shadow, then I could get the cure...maybe duplicate it or something...but he wouldn't give it to me...not until it was all over." He paused, knowing he was probably rambling. "I told him I'll do whatever he wanted...as long as I got his research notes for the serum...and...if...he left you alone..."
He clenched his jaw temporarily. "But that bastard lied to me...he sent his damn units after you...how can I be so naive?" He yelled at himself. "I knew he was bad...I knew it...but dammit, I wanted to give you a normal relationship...I wanted a normal relationship. I was being selfish, even though I knew that he wanted me to do things that would make me hate myself...but I thought...wasn't it all worth it?" He locked his eyes with hers before continuing, "I made a huge mistake...and its my fault that everyone is running now...I used my contacts and located a whole list of people with abilities...and I gave it to him...and now...everyone is running....and he's using Senator Kane too...he got to him...got him to launch the Exodus Bill...and if he doesn't get them that way...he's going to trick them into it...probably by offering them the cure like he did with me...I know...I know that's probably his plan..."
Julian began to think and share his thoughts. He had been bottling all this up for weeks, for he not only did research on people with abilities, but he also began to look at Shadow's operation more carefully. He realized that the serum had to come be involved somewhere, unless he wanted to study people with abilities....but that was unlikely, ever since he overhead Shadow talking to his assistant about getting Kane to force them to come to him...and humanity would be save once again. The man was mad. He also knew, that Shadow would use Sahira against him...to keep him quiet and obedient...but those days are done, ever since he sent those men after her.

Stunned, Sahira could only stare at Julian. How could he agree to such a thing? Worse, it was because of her that he had even agreed. She was completely conflicted, wanting to beat Julian to a pulp but also wanting to comfort him. Didn't Julian know any better? Didn't he know that she'd rather live without his touch than have him sink so low? One thing was certain. Sahira wad determined to find this shadow, and to put an end to his lies and deceit. After a dense silent she found her voice again. "I can't believe you would agree to such a thing." she said, unable to hide the dissapointment in her voice. "God, Julian, all those people! If for us to be together means endangering all those innocents... It's not worth it." Sahira hated saying the words, but she couldn't lie.
"You're not going to continue with this, are you?" she asked, her voice growing hard. "I won't let you." Sahira added, prepared to fight if he said yes.

Julian grimaced more as Sahira scolded him. Ashamed, he went back to the chair that was opposite to the room. "I know...I regret it all..." He mumbled, wishing he could take it back. However, he really wondered how their relationship would work if there was no physical contact. He didn't want her to have an unfair relationship. She deserved better. "No." Julian glanced up when Sahira asked him if he was still going through with it. "No, Sahira. After he went after you...no...I'm not doing it anymore...I'm going to kill him instead." Julian locked with her again, wondering if she would approve - no matter the answer, he was going to do it.
*** "Hazel...locate Sahira for me please." Cain said as he was placing a tie on. "I think its time to change Mr. Riker's mind."

Sahira sighed in relief, relaxing. "Good." she said, leaning back against the bedframe. She could forgive him for all that if he stoped. Afer all, it was hard to hate someone she loved. Hearing his last comment, Sahira's eyes snapped up to his. There was no way to doubt what he said by the conviction in his eyes. "I'm going to help." she said, unwilling to let him out of her sight again, especially to deal with someone like Shadow. Also, it was time Shadow was stopped. ***
Lounging on a couch, Hazel watched Cain lazily. He always looked so good in a suit. She brightened at his request. "Immediately." she said, sitting up and closing her eyes. "I like that tie." she added, before focusing on her ability. Sahira's aura wasn't exactly large, but it was by no means small. Hazel focused in on it, seeing the woman sitting on a bed, and across the room was Julian. She had expected to see him, of course. But where were they exactly? Expanding the vision, her sight came across the window. She saw palm trees, a full moon, and the name of the apartment complex. Bingo. Hazel came back to reality in an instant, her eyes snapping open. "Sunridge apartment complex, California."
OOC: haha, just made something up.

OOC: lol hey, it works. lol
Julian raised an eyebrow. It wasn't the response he wanted to hear. "No." He told her, "I've spent over a month trying to get you out of his radar, and you want to be placed on it, willingly? NO. Absolutely not." He said, shaking his head.
*** "Good. That means he's still in California. He'll probably stay there until the morning, given the state Sahira might be in. So...looks like I'm going to pull an all nighter. Get me a private jet. List it under Bruce. I'll let him take over for a bit. I need to think." He told her as he finished tying his tie.

Grabbing a pillow, Sahira chucked it at Julian angrily. It was the most she could do in her current state. "I said I was going with you." she said heatedly. "Besides, I'm pretty sure no matter what I'm doing, I'll be in his radar." Lifting an eyebrow, she challened him to tell her no again. There was no way he was going to play the protective boyfriend. ****
Even hearing the name Bruce made Hazel want to gag. "Not Bruce!" she whined, crossing her arms. "I can't stand him!" If Cain was going to stick her with him, well, she wasn't going to be calling for any jets.

Julian raised an eyebrow as he caught the pillow. Under different circumstances he would have found the gesture highly amusing, but since it wasn't, he stared at her, hoping to stare her down. He glanced away, accepting his defeat when she raised a challenging eyebrow. "Fine." He said and tossed the pillow back at her.
*** Cain glanced at Hazel, calmly. "I'm not going to have Kane wheeling around; I need to walk and I'm not allowing a sociopath on a jet headed towards a city that is run solely on technology and capitalism. Now, will you kindly put Bruce on a plane." His voice stern and level.

Satisfied, Sahira lay back down on the bed. She was still tired from the sedation, still a bit groggy and slow. Part of the reason why she didn't quite catch the pillow, which hit her on the arm. "I think I'm going to fall asleep again." she muttered, her eyelids growing heavy. "Don't dissapear." was the last thing she said before letting slumber take her. ****
"Fine." Hazel grunted, knowing she wasn't going to persuade Cain against it. Pulling out her phone, she quickly dialed the number of the airline that provided private jets. Glaring at Cain the whole time, Hazel made arrangments for the jet. When asked for a name, she said, "Bruce" through gritted teeth. Snapping the phone shut, Hazel looked away from Cain, crossing her arms once more. "The jet is ready." she said coldly.

Julian couldn't help but to smile as Sahira drifted off into sleep. "I won't." He promised her. Smirking, he removed his shoes and hopped onto the bed next to her, but keeping a foot apart. He laid on his side, watching her for a moment, and then fell asleep for a quick nap before forcing himself to stand guard over her.
*** Cain smirked at Hazel's attitude. "Thank you, Hazel." He replied. "Now, be a good girl while I'm gone." He winked at her, hoping that would brightened her mood. She knew how much she hated Bruce, but even the egotistical narcissist had his perks. He rotated his head slightly, signifying his departure. A second later, Bruce blinked to life. "Hello there." Bruce grinned widely at Hazel. "Is this a private party for me?" He trolled around her, inspecting her.

Hazel merely grunted at Cain's goodbye. A little wink wasn't going to make the situation any better. She watched him closely though, saw the moment he retreated and Bruce came springing to life. How she hated that man. "Ugh." she said, frowning as he leisurly appraised her. "You're so disgusting." Hazel stood up from the couch, feeling rather defensless sitting down. She balled her hands into fists, wanting nothing more than to use him as a punching bag.

"You live here?" One of the men asked, signaling the others to lower their weapons. He motioned for one of his men to cover. "As for your grandparents, well, their safety will depend on your answer." He held out his hand and the man slapped down a photo. "Have you seen this woman before?" He asked, showing a picture of Sahira. "She's a wanted fugitive and we've located her here, to this cabin. Do you know the penalty for harboring a known fugitive, Miss?" The man eyed her.
*** "Now, you're just playing hard to get, Hazel." Bruce smirked, knowing this was not their first meeting. "How about giving me a kiss or two?" He smiled and winked at her.

Unable to stand Bruce's pestering, Hazel lashed out, pushing him in the chest. "I'd take Jack over you any day." she retorted, eyeing him with disdain. "You have a jet to catch, pervert." Snapping her fingers, Hazel pointed towards the door. "So I suggest we get going before you miss it."

The soldier blinked, surprised that this girl didn't know what she invited into her home. They were monsters, freaks! They didn't care about anything except for themselves and blood. The soldier sighed. "All right, all right, I believe you." He tried to tell her, before she started to cry or something. "Troops. Let's move out. Leave the grandparents. It appears they were spared by this...Kyra."
He motioned for everyone to get out. "Private!" "Yes, sir!" "Make sure you note the name Kyra as another alias for our boxer-cat. We'll need it if she decides to use it again." "Yes, sir! Right away, sir." The Private ran off as everyone else exited the cabin. Without another word, or an apology, the troop mounted into their hummers and humvees and left the premise.
*** Bruce laughed. "I have no idea who Jack is, but I wish I was him." He grinned at her and waved his back hand at her as he began to exit. "All right! Party in the air!" He laughed again, feeling the need to get on the plane. "Come on, honey! You'll feel more fun once we get some cocktails in ya!" He chuckled as he exited, finding no one around, but a nice Ferrari was parked in the driveway. "Now...where are my keys?" He patted his pockets, trying to remember where he placed them.

Fuming, Hazel watched Bruce with a smoldering fury. Maybe things would be more fun if he died! Grumbling, she followed him out the door. Watching him look for the keys, Hazel shook her head in practiced patience. "Here." she said, reaching into her purse and pulling out the keys. She tossed them to him, then wordlessly went to the passenger side of the sports car. "Hurry up and unlock the door!" Hazel demanded. She had considered driving herself, but she wasn't exactly comfortable behind the wheel. Her brow scrunched up, wondering why that was.

"Thanks, babe." Bruce said as he caught them, wondering little on why the chick had them. Maybe he had been drinking late again... "Ah, have I told you how much I love a domineering woman?" Bruce said, with a cocky eyebrow as he unlocked the doors. Hoping into the red beauty, Bruce patted the steering wheel. "I'm such a sucker for red heads." He muttered as he waited for Hazel to get in the car. Beautiful car and a beautiful woman. What could top this? He smiled. More beautiful women. "So, baby, where are we headed to? The Bahamas? Monte Cristo? You name it, and we'll throw ourselves a party!" He grinned.
