History: Olivia was born outside Philadelphia, PA. She was an average kid growing up. Her parents had ordinary jobs, she was a single child, and life was pretty much normal. At the age of sixteen her powers awakened. During that summer, her family took a vacation to Rome, where her father had some distant heritage. Her parents had brought along an English to Italian dictionary to help them with the language barrier. As they walked around the city, Olivia realized she could understand everything that was being said in Italian. When she got back home, Olivia listened to tapes of other language, and discovered that she was multi-linguistic. Later that year, she broke one of her mother’s favorite mugs. Wishing she could just hide the incident, Olivia waited for her mother’s outburst. However, her mother didn’t even seem to notice. Grabbing a broom, she swept the kitchen, pretending to just be doing her chores. In this way she managed to salvage the pieces and throw them out with anyone the wiser. At the end of high school she attended college, and to everyone’s surprise, including hers, she became a Masseuse. She found the ability to relax people, relaxing. Olivia managed to land a job at a fancy spa resort in Philly and moved into the city.
Role Play Sample: Fumbling with the mug, Olivia tried desperately to catch the tumbling cup. But, too late and too clumsy, the thing crashed against the kitchen’s tiled floor, shattering into large chunks. Horrified, she could only stare with wide eyes at the destruction. That was her moms favorite mug. It was a deep blue with a large handle and archaic designs. Hearing her mom coming around the corner, Olivia tensed for the shock that was to come. I wish this wasn’t happening she thought desperately, I just want it to go away. Watching her mom, Olivia was ready at any moment to start apologizing. But, oddly, her mother didn’t even seem to notice the mess. Hardly daring to breath, she watched as her mom deposited some dishes in the sink, and then retreated back around the corner. Hardly daring to believe her good fortune, Olivia grabbed the broom and began sweeping up the mug fragments hastily. “What are you doing?” her mom asked, standing behind her.
“Uh, just sweeping the kitchen. Getting some chores done.” She lied, the whole time amazed that her mother didn’t notice the mug chips.
“Oh. Don’t forget to do the dishes too.” Olivia nodded, praising God the whole time.
