Alicia hissed as she tried to break past Max. She could see the man on the table now, and the wound in his side. The sight of the blood pushed her completely off the edge and she was little more than an animal with the instinct to feed now. But Max was relentless. Just when Alicia was about to get past, the other woman sent her tumbling down the stairs. Alicia landed hard on her back and was momentarily dazed. The feeling brought her slightly back to her senses. "Close. That. Door." She said between clenched teeth, fighting against her worst instincts. She knew it wouldn't be long before she went crazy again. ~~~~~ Dave concentrated on Sam's words, though what Logan said was still ringing in his ears. What gave his brother the right to decide to just up and die on them? He wasn't about to let it happen. He placed hands to where he could quicklly rip off his brother's shirt as soon as Sam gave the word. As he did so, a thought occured to him. Concentrating harder, he used his telekinesis to locate the bullet. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to close the wound with that still inside. The instant Sam shouted "Go," Dave tore the shirt off and at the same moment pulled the bullet out. Luckily, he took it out in the exact same spot it went in and caused little further damage. "Do your thing, Lissy," he told his sister. He glared at the bullet that was now hovering in mid air beside him. He took it in his hand and studied it. If Logan died, he swore to himself he would find the owner of the gun that was used to shoot him.
Kate glanced at Sam, shaking her head. "I don't think it'll work. Besides," she glanced at the basement door, "her hands are a little full at the moment." She thought for a moment, and then remembered something. Speeding up to the basement, she opened the dusty safe left up there, and was pleased by her find. Running back downstairs, she handed a bag to Sam. "I was afraid the others would have taken all of it, or Alicia would have gotten a hold of it. This is the last one, for emergencies." She went around and gathered up and IV stand, tubes, and needles.

Max pinned Alicia to the ground. "Will! Get the door!" She ordered, not letting Alicia go, even if the girl seemed semi sane. "Stay put, Alicia." Max didn't even dare to get up until Will closed the door.
*** Sam held onto Logan as the man skirmed from the ejection of the bullet and the blood that spilled freely after. Logan groaned from the pain as he tried to get loose from the men's grip. It was instinctive and the pain was just unbearable. Logan could only imagine what the pain would feel like next...
*** As Sam held Logan down, he spotted Kate return with a bag of blood. He was too busy to take the bag but he watched Logan and Kate interchangaebly. "Who's blood is that?" He asked as Logan let out another pained grunt.

A knot of nerves twisted in Felicity's stomach. She had never had to perform such a delicate operation before with her powers. She waited in anxious anticipation for Sam's go-ahead, her hands held ready. As soon as he said the word, she moved her hands over the wound, but not before the bullet came flying out. She hesitated for a moment, surprised, but the blood from the wound pulsed quickly out and there was no more time for hesitation. Placing her hand on the wound, trying her best to ignore the warmth of the blood seeping between her fingers, Felicity let her powers out. Light leaked from underneath her hands, a soft but radiant glow. She let the energy touch Logan for only a few seconds, before pulling away. She couldn't see if she had succeeded or not, as there was still an immense amount of blood covering the wound. ***
Will didn't have time to dodge his sister as she came barreling towards him. He let out a groan as she hit him in the chest. He grabbed her by the arm, but Max took over, her strength greater than his. "On it!" he said quickly, pushing himself to his feet. He dashed towards the door and slammed it shut.

It was only a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity to Logan as he felt Fe's powers singe through him. He let out a bellowing, painful cry that rang through the air. Immediately after the wound was seared off, Logan's screams died down. Breathing heavily, Logan stared at his siblings and then he passed out.
*** "Kate!" Sam glanced over to her and the IVs that she seemed to be collecting. "You better hurry."
*** Once the door was completely shut, Max slowly got off of Alicia. "There, that's better." Max said in a sing song voice, but her eyes were wary. "Thanks. Commando!" Max smiled at Will. "Well, now. I think I'll just hang here for a bit until things die down upstairs." She sat in front of the door and gazed around. "So what are you two doing here?" She asked.

Once Kate finally had everything set up, she inserted the needle into Logan's vein and set the regenerative blood to flow. The stuff was known to work wonders, even healing and reviving people who had been shot through the head. Then she finally took a seat, exhausted from all the stress. "You don't know the guy it belonged to," she told Sam, answering his earlier question. "He chose not to stay with us, but donated a sizeable portion of his blood for emergencies." ~~~~~ Alicia was about to throw Max off and charge up the stairs again when Will finally succeeded in closing the door. That blocked most of the scent, but her frenzy didn't totally die down. To stop herself from going insane, she drove her teeth into her own arm, focusing on the pain she caused. Her own blood wasn't nearly as satisfying, but it calmed her mind enough to think rationally again. Once she was in control again, Alicia took her arm from her mouth, wincing as pain stabbed at her. "Micah thought it safer to move us to the base in groups," she explained. "Less likely to be noticed that way. We're the last of them."

Felicity leaned on the edge of the table, her body trembling from nerves. They had been so close to losing Logan. "Brothers." she grumbled, before glancing at Dave. "At least you haven't gotten into any trouble." ***
"We should have been the first to go." Will said, crossing his arms. He hated the idea of lingering in this area any longer than necessary. "We should leave today. By the way things are sounding, I'm sure agents will be after us in no time. And I'm not letting them anywhere near my sister again."

Sam made an odd face. "He donated his blood? Weird." He looked over at Felicity, and then at Dave. "Your brother is going to fine. It'll take some time before he's healed, but, I think he'll make it. Please." He pointed to some seats. "You two most be really confused and tired."
*** "Ew!!! Alicia! Don't do that! That's gross!" Max made a skimish sound and shivered. "Gross, gross gross!" She waved her hands a bit as Alicia bit herself to drink. "I hate when you have to do that. I told you I would take you hunting for squirrels or something..." She ignored the comment about Micah until Will began talking. "Yeah, leaving today would be a good idea. I'm guessing we're gonna stay put until they clean up upstairs though..." She gave Will an amused look. "Geez, always the protective type. She's perfecting fine taking care of herself, see!" Max pointed at Alicia and her bloody arm. "Well, most of the time. Anyway," she decided to change the topic, "where'd you plan on heading out to? The Resistance or have you've taken Micah's advice and going to like, Europe or what?"

Dave gave a shaky sigh, glancing at his older brother. Despite Sam's assurances, he wasn't so certain Logan was going to be fine. He sat down and gave a somewhat sheepish grin to Felicity. "Well...assuming you don't count being ten dollars in debt with a hot dog stand as trouble," he said. He'd barely been getting by for a while, and spent the last of his cash today. And of course, he hadn't been expecting to pay for the tourist girl's lunch as well. He shifted his gaze to Sam, and also spared a glance at Kate. "Okay, man, you better start explaining yourself. Why are there guys after me and my siblings, and why did you people kidnap us?" ~~~~~ Alicia rolled her eyes at Max's complaining. She'd bitten herself countless times in the past, and it had saved many lives. "What, would you rather I bite you instead?" she asked sarcastically. She winced again as her arm throbbed in pain. Then she considered Max's question. "Well if it were up to me, Will would go with the Resistance. Really, you belong here, Will." She shifted her gaze to her older brother momentarily before looking back at Max. "And I would go live by myself in the African wilderness or the Amazon rainforest or something. Avoid contact with every other human being. But since my brother here refuses to leave my side for som inexplicable reason..." she shrugged and looked back at Will. "It's up to you, bro," she told him.

Felicity was glad Dave had the presence of mind to ask what the hell was going on. She looked up at the shirtless man, and she knew her nerves must be receding because she was able to notice the incredible muscles he possessed. "Yes," she said with a smirk, "please do let us in on what's going on." She glanced at Kate then. "And you." she said, though she still smiled. "Should have let me know sooner." ***
Will shrugged, sitting down next to Alicia. He was used to the bloody bites on her arm, so he wasn't phased by it. Of course he hated that she had to hurt herself. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I would never let you go to someplace like that by yourself. For now, we both have to stick with this Resistance. You don't have a passport, and since I'm MIA in Arizona airports will be on alert for me. I wouldn't get past the first gate." He sighed again, letting his head thump back against the wall. "We have to stick with the Resistance."

Sam leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "You guys ever heard of the Exodus bill?" He paused, letting that sink in, and then continued. "The government wants to gather us all together into camps. Most likely to kill us." Sam explained. "You and your sister are targets. We all are." He gestured around them. "I don't know about your brother, maybe because he's friendly toward us, but, Kate and I." He pointed to Kate and then downstairs, "along with some others are gathering a Resistance together, to protect ourselves, but to also fight back. To show the world that we're good people. Rebel, who's in charge, wants us to invite you to join us." He explained. "If not, he's got some papers organized to get you guys out of here...but, you'll be on the run forever. They want us all caught." He finished, but glanced at Kate if she wanted to add anything in.
*** As the regenerative blood kicked in, Logan began to stir himself to wake. The wound of his side was slowly beginning to heal itself.
*** Max still grimanced as she stared at Alicia's arm. "I rather you just not." She squirmed. "Anyway," she glanced at Will, and Alicia's faces. "Bah, minor details if you wanted to run, you run. Quite simply." Max smiled knowingly. "Well, I guess I might as well stick around and help you two." She shrugged. "You'll probably die, if I didn't." She replied nonchantlantly, but in reality, she'd grown fond of the two. "And you," she turned to Will, "would probably get a bloody arm to match her's if you're not too careful." She smirked, "no offense." she apologized to Alicia. "Plus, this might actually be a lot of fun." She grinned.

The news was a lot to take in, although it wasn't entirely surprising. There were the rumors, after all. "Well that changes things." she sighed, thinking of her career. It was just getting good, and agents were beginning to ask for her specifically. Fame and fortune would have to wait, it seemed. "I'm not about to leave the country. Neither will Dave." she said, glancing at her conscious brother. "We'll be safer together. And besides, you look like your good at protecting innocent girls." She smiled coyly at him, unable to help herself. "What's your name, anyways?" Logan made a noise then, and Felicity looked anxiously at him. He was going to be ok. She had to believe that. *** Despite himself, Will smirked. "You're probably right about that Max." he said, laughing. "What would we do without your handiness? You're tougher than most of the agents I used to work with, and they all had training." he said, sincerely. "As for fun... well, we'll see about that." He grinned still, and looked at his sister. "Please don't take a bite out of me, sis." he said, then took his arm in her hands. "Wish Kate hadn't of taken the whole first aid kit." he said, staring at the bite marks.

Sam was pleased that Felicity wanted to join; Micah would be happy. Sam blinked at Felicity's flirtatious comment. He cleared his throat, now aware that he was half naked in front of her. "Uh, yeah...I guess." He didn't know what else to say. Her comment and her smile threw him off guard. "My name is Sam." He told her, feeling a blush come under her stare. He quickly turned to look at Dave. "You're sticking with us then?" He asked, double checking if Felicity spoke for the both of them.
*** Max grinned. Normally, she would accuse Will for making fun of her and for being sarcastic, but she was surprised to hear the sincerity in his voice. "Now, your just trying to get on my good side." She smirked, trying to hide the fact that his comment pleased her a bit more than it should have. She laughed as Will teased his sister. "Ah," Max waved the comment off about the first aid kit. "She'll be fine. She's a big girl." She winked at Alicia. She glanced upstairs though, wondering if they were done cleaning up. "I could speed up to get it again, but that means the door would have to open." She looked at Alicia, "but, I don't think that's a good idea right now."

Dave frowned slightly as Sam explained what was going on. He'd heard tell of people with powers being taken, but he never really believed them. He really should have trusted Logan's sources more, it seemed. He couldn't help but snicker at Felicity's flirting. The two of them had more in common than either of them had with their older brother. Then he glanced back over at Sam. "Lissy's right. Nothing could make me leave the states. And if my siblings are sticking around, then I'm sticking around." He looked anxiously at Logan, hoping his brother would be better soon. ~~~~~ Alicia smiled at Will and Max's bantering. Ever since she'd come with Will to rescue her from the agents, Max had become something like a new sister for Alicia...in a kick-butt, high-tech thiefy sort of way. She winced slightly as Will took her arm, but rolled her eyes at his concern. "I'll be fine," she told him. "You know it's not the first time I've bitten myself. It'll heal." She'd still never told him how many times she'd nearly bitten off her tounge before she'd been kidnapped, trying to hold back her urge to bite him. It nearly drove her crazy. She held her breath as she gave her brother a hug. "No worries, Will. I'm never going to bite you. I don't care what's happening." She glanced at Max as the woman mentioned upstairs. "What's going on, anyway?" she asked. "Who got hurt?" She glanced into the near future of the room upstairs and saw a man lying on the table, injuries healed but still apparently weak or passed out. "It'll be safe to go up in about fifteen minutes."

Sam nodded. "That's good to hear. Rebel will be happy to hear that. We should probably get going, though. I have no doubt that the men that came after you guys will figure out where we are. They have an odd knack of doing that." "Where we going?" Logan asked as he sat up, blinking himself awake. Sam raised an eyebrow, suprised that Logan was already awake and getting up. "The Resistance." Sam replied, watching as Logan rubbed his head and looked at his now completely healed wound. Logan glanced over to his siblings. "You two sure about this?" He asked them, a bit groggily. Whatever these guys put into his system, Logan was feeling more and more rejuevenated by the moment. He glanced at his arm, where an IV was connected, and trailed it to the blood bag that was hung up. He glanced at Kate, who seemed to be monitering the bag. Did the blood help him? What kind of blood did that? He wondered as he turned his attention back to his brother and sister.
*** Max watched as Will showed tenderness with Alicia. Well, who knew the hut hut Commando was so tender. She scoffed, if to ward off the mushiness that seemed to come about. Her thoughts were interrupted as Alicia began to address her. "You know, the usual. Rescue the helpless, save them from crazy gun wavy agents." She smirked. "A regular." She referred to the non-gifted. "He's the brother of the two gifted we just saved. Apparently he got shot while escaping." Max shrugged. "If he was under my watch, it wouldn't have happened." She smiled sweetly. "But, whatever, they're taking care of him." She glanced back upstairs, her head tilting toward the door. "I think we're going to the Resistance soon." She stood up and stretched. "You ready?" She asked both of them.

"Logan!" Felicity stood up hastily and went to his side. "Hey. You were eavesdropping on us this whole time? No wonder you're such a good journalist." she joked, smiling in relief that he was awake. "Dave and I are sure. We'll be safe with our own kind. And even though you don't have any kinda powers, I think you should stay with us. The agents will be looking for you now, I can imagine." ***
Will shook his head at the term "regular". He was part of that lot, it would seem. He was interested to know that he wouldn't be the only one now. "Is that so?" he said, rubbing the stubble that was beginning to grow on his chin. "More than ready. Come on there, kiddo." He said to Alicia, standing and pulling her up with him. He wasn't about to let go of her until they were safely upstairs and there was no whiff of blood. "Lead the way, G.I Jane." he said to Max, smirking again.

Logan gave Felicity a small smirk; he was still weak. "Its hard to ignore you, Fe." He teased his sister. Logan thought about it for a moment. He wanted to stay with his family. To protect them, but there were still someone else that he needed to help. His mind drifted to Hazel. "Yeah." He said carefully, still thinking. "We won't be staying at the Resistance all the time, will we?" Logan asked Sam.
Sam watched the siblings interact carefully. He waited patiently as they talked to one another. He considered Logan's question. "No, not all the time. Rebel has us going on missions and we sometimes go in and out as we please; we have to be careful not to let our location be discovered. Its more a haven for people like us. To train ourselves with our powers and to not have to hide who we are. You are more than welcomed to stay with us. We accept anyone who accepts us."
Logan nodded, contemplating still. "No sense to separate the family." He grinned at Fe and Dave. He glanced at the IV. "Is it okay to take this out now?" Logan asked Kate.
*** Max rolled her eyes at Will's comment. "Just remember, G.I. Jane can trash you up anytime." She said in a singsong voice as she opened the door, leading the way upstairs.

"Sounds exciting." Felicity said, eying Sam. "Yay" She said almost immediately after, hugging Logan. "Don't worry, Logan. If anyone tries to hurt any of us, I'll blast em' away. This gift isn't good for just the runway." She released Logan and examined her hands. "Though I haven't really used it much blast people away." She grimaced at the thought. Killing made her feel queasy. But if her family was in jeopardy, there was nothing she wouldn't do. ***
Will followed along after Max, grinning at her comment. "I don't doubt it." he said, "but I would put up a good fight." Keeping a firm grip on Alicia, he went upstairs and peeked around the door. He analyzed the situation, noting first the dried blood on the "regular". Dried blood wasn't as potent, so Alicia wouldn't go nearly as crazy. But blood was blood, and the sight of it might send her into a tiff. "Hey," he said to Sam. "Clean that guy up, will ya?" The other two in the room were gathered around their brother. Will glanced at the women, away, and then back again. Most of the ladies in the resistant were toughies, but this chick seemed like a whole different breed. But then again, everybody in the Resistance was a different breed. He smirked at the thought, then glanced at Alicia. "You ok?" he asked.

Dave glanced up, startled, as Logan began to talk. He clapped his brother on the shoulder as Felicity went to hug him. "Hey, man. I knew you would pull through," he told his brother. He listened as they discussed staying with the Resistance. It all sounded like a good thing, but he wasn't too sure fighting all the time was something he wanted to do. However, he now realized they probably didn't have a choice. He blinked in surprise when his sister mentioned she would blast people away to protect her family. For some reason, he couldn't see Lissy harming anyone. "Or I could just throw stuff at 'em," he mentioned with a shrug. He knew there was more potential to his gift than throwing big objects around, but he lacked the concentration to learn. "We'll figure it out later. For now, I'm just glad you're okay, bro. Lissy was really scared for you." He neglected to mention how afraid he had been, keeping up the image that he always believed Logan would survive.
Kate stood when Logan woke and checked on his progress. The regenerative blood truly worked wonders; when she looked for any evidence of the bullet wound, it was completely gone. She let it drip for another minute or so, then swiftly removed it. "You should be fine now, Mr. Monroe," she told him. She saw that there was still about a quarter of the bag left, maybe enough to save one more person from death. She glanced over her shoulder when she heard the basement door begin to open and ran upstairs. The blood wouldn't do anyone any good if Alicia got ahold of it.
Alicia followed Max and Will upstairs and took in the scene quickly. It seemed the injured man had been tended to already. When she took in a quick sniff, there was no trace of fresh blood in the air, only old and dried, which reminded her of stale bread. Still, she was on her guard. "I think I'll be fine, Will," she told her brother when he asked about her. She took one of his hands and wrapped his fingers firmly around her wrist. "But hold onto me, just in case."

Max let out a "HA!" to Will's comment as she headed upstairs.
*** Logan took Felicity's hug graciously, happy that he didn't die. He let out an "oof" as Dave slapped his back. "I'm just glad we're all okay." Logan looked at both his siblings sternly. "Its best to keep yourselves on the DL right now. I don't want you guys putting yourselves in harms way needlessly. We're just going to check out this Resistance place and see what happens next. After that, I plan to go dig a little deeper on who's causing this." He informed them as Kate came over and took out the IV. "Thanks." He made a face as she took the needle out. He never did like needles. He glanced at his side again, tracing his hand over the dried blood. Not even a scratch was there.
Logan suddenly turned at another voice. He spotted Will peeking out, followed by two other girls. How many people were here?
"No worries." Sam told Will as he went to grab a wet rag and began to clean everything up. "You feel good to move now, Mr. Monroe?" "Yeah...and its Logan." Logan told Sam as he carefully got off the table and stood next to his brother and sister and Sam finished cleaning up the blood.
Sam grabbed the bloody rags and tossed them into the sink. "Max." Sam glanced at the Brit as she came marching upstairs. Max glanced at the sink and rolled her eyes. "Why do I have to always clean up after you men?" She rolled her eyes and concentrated on a power that she mimicked before. Blue flames shot up from her hand and Max waved it over to the rags, burning them. She extinguished her flaming hand and reverted back to her regular powers. "There."
Sam coughed a bit, the smell of smoke lingered in the area. Sam turned on the water, washing away the ashes. "Good to go." He told Will, but mostly to Alicia.
"So, can we go now?" Max asked, preoccupied with dirt under her nails. "Yeah. You guys good to go?" Sam asked the Monroes.
*** Cain's fist slammed on the steel table. "They got away!" He hissed at a Commanding officer. "I'm sorry, sir. We did our best." "Clearly your best isn't enough." The soldier stiffened. "It won't happen again." "No. It won't." Cain's jaw clenched and before the soldier knew it, a thin blade stabbed through him. The soldier's eyes widened as he fell to the ground, the blade coming out with a ring.
"You know, if we kill the help, we're going to fall further behind." Alex commented as he slashed his blade in the air so the blood could flick off.
Cain rubbed his temple. "I told him failure wasn't an option. I need Monroe!" He nearly screamed out.
Alex shrugged. "I told you I should have handled it." "I need you to watch Hazel." Alex sneered. "I didn't come here to be her babysitter, Cain." "You're not babysitting..." Cain replied, annoyed. He turned from Alex and gazed around the warehouse they were in. It was one of his hidden facilities where he was conducting his experiments. He turned to face a transparent board. "It sure feels like it." Alex replied, his eyes drifting to the board.
On the board laid a pedigree chart of the Monroe family, ending with David, Felicity and Logan. At the beginning, however, was Adam Monroe. "They holed the key for my next Phase. I need them." Alex shrugged. "I don't see what this has to do with Hazel." Cain's hand reverantly touched Logan's name, and then it hit Alex. "You think she'll interfere." "She's beginning to fight my power. It seems to waver more whenever Logan Monroe is involved. If I let her in on what we are planning, she'll resist...and I still need her." "So, you want me to make sure she still behaves." Alex replied, staring at the chart. "Yes." "Fine." Alex sheathed his sword, giving into Cain. "Send in another group of agents. I want our dear Alice in charge of this one. Along with Beester. I don't want any mistakes." "And Riker?" "He's a rowdy one. His emotions are clouding his judgement. Give him another sample to keep him content. Get only the 12 hour one, but make him think its 24." Cain smirked. "Ooo, sounds good." Alex made motion to leave. "Oh, and get Hazel to track down the Monroe's again. No mistakes." He warned Alex. "Aye, Aye Cap'n." Alex chuckled and walked out. Turning his eyes back to Logan's name, a sinister smile merged on Cain's lips.
*** At a penthouse in New York:
Alex walked into the penthouse, carrying a box. "Honey! I'm home!" Alex joked as he walked in, looking for Hazel. He was hoping that Alice, Beester, and Riker were here too. It would be a pain in the butt to have to locate them.

OOC: *taps fingers together* the plot thickens
Felicity glanced over as a male voice spoke. She looked him over, not missing how he had been staring. Well, everyone stared. "Yeah, we're good now." The guy said, and he came the rest of the way up the stairs with a pale looking girl. She returned her gaze to Sam and nodded. "More than ready if those goons are going to pop up again." ***
Hazel lounged on the sofa, staring blankly at the TV. She had just awoke from a nap, and she was sure she had had a strange dream. But she couldn't remember it, not for the life of her. The TV jabbered at her about something, but she didn't pay attention. All that she could remember about the dream was fire. Fire and ash and smoke. Alex walked in, and it wasn't until he spoke that she jolted out of her reverie. She frowned, suddenly unable to remember why exactly she was in this penthouse, and why exactly she knew Alex. "What?" she asked, blinking up at him as if dazed.
"Hey!" someone else shouted, and Hazel looked over to find a younger girl walking into the room. "I was taking a nap. And so was Hazel. We need our beauty sleep." The girl looked over and winked at her, and Hazel smiled back.
"Yes." she said, beginning to remember, though it didn't feel like remembering. "That's right." Her confusion began to fade, and her expression turned annoyed. "What do you want?" she asked Alex, glaring up at him. "And what's in the box? Knowing you, probably nothing classy." Alice plopped down onto the seat beside her.
"Oh, common Hazel. Alex tries his best." Hazel huffed and rolled her eyes.
