The pistol at his waist seemed to be tugging at his fingers. This woman was really testing his patience. She would kick him to the curb? Wasn't Max the one going along with him? Shaking his head in silent wonder, Will followed her out the door. "You know, if not for me, you would still be on your way to special people prison." He glowered at her, finding her lack of gratefulness rather rude.

Max waved a hand. "Maybe, maybe not. I probably would have escaped soon or later." She glanced over her shoulder at him, "You shouldn't give yourself so much credit...being a normal and all." She walked to the parking lot, glancing at some cars. She spotted a nice looking Ford Mustang. "How do you like driving a stick, Will?" Max asked, as she scoped out the GT vehicle. Just by looking at the heavy muscle car, Max knew that it was running on a manual...it had to...with that large engine protruding out of the hood. She walked over the the black car, caressing the hood. It would be so nice to drive this...but, she figured Will had to be good for something...and she was feeling lazy.

Praying for patience, Will followed Max out to the parking lot. What the heck did she mean by normals, anyways? Just because he couldn't fly or heal quickly didn't make him useless. "I can drive anything." he said gruffly. Reaching out, he grabbed Max's shoulder and redirected her to the Hummer. "We're not going to commit grand theft auto quite yet." he said. Martin was probably still lying in the abondoned lot, unconscious. He wouldn't be able to alert his comrades of Will's motives for a little while. Might as well get some use out of the vehicle. "We're taking this for a little ways." Releasing Max's shoudler, Will unlocked the doors and hopped into the driver's side, throwing his bag into the back.

Max gave out a dejected sigh as Will redirected her. "You need to lighten up some more. You'll get wrinkles." She told him as she stared at the Hummer with some disgust. "Bye, baby!" She waved at the Mustang as she opened the passenger's door and hopped in. She spotted a laptop near her feet. "Ooo...this could be useful." She grabbed it and powered it up. "Maybe I can find out why they're after me." She sounded hopeful, but somewhat malicious at the same time. "Oh, and could you drive to the airport? I can have a private jet waiting for us within the hour." She told him indifferently as she hacked into the computer with ease. "Seriously...they need to come up with better passwords..." She muttered as she opened the command log and began typing in codes and interfaces to get into the authorized files.

"Wow." Will muttered, "Being in the art industry really pays off, I guess." Shaking his head in amazement, he started up the hummer and pulled away from the hotel. He glanced over at the laptop, wondering what sort of valuable information the little computer held. Not only did Max have multiple abilities, but apparently she had multiple talents as well. Maybe taking her along would pay off after all. "So, find anything worth mentioning?" he asked after a few minutes of driving.

Max smirked. "Oh, yes...it pays off very nicely." She said as she typed along and was able to access some files. She opened a few files and spotted a list of names. She frowned. "They're hunting us..." She muttered and pointed at the list. "This looks like only the West coast, but, god, where did they even know about us? How did they even know I'll be in the States?" She asked out loud as she scrolled down towards her name, and then began to scroll down on some others...
Larson, Jason - Flight and Molecular body manipulation - Location: Unknown Lindon, Sahira - Shapeshifter - Location: Arizona
She gritted her teeth as she scrolled back up. Her screen paused on the C's.
Cortez, Alicia - Precognition and Vampiresque qualities - Location: En route
"This is crazy...who would want to hunt us? I've never did anything to hurt anyone...unlawful..yes...but..." She began typing again, trying to figure out where they were planning to take her.

Will could only grunt in response to Max's outrage. Although he was a "normal", he wasn't a supporter of capturing and hunting those who were unrightly tagged as monsters. Glaring out the windsheild, he glanced over at the laptop. The name on the screen seemed to scream out at him, and he nearly drove off the road in shock. "Find out more on the Alicia Cortez." Will demanded, gripping the steering wheel in white knuckled fists.

"Whoa, watch the road!" Max hissed as Will steered off the road. "What's up with you?" She demanded as he then gave out his own demand. "All right, all right. Give me a minute." Max went back to typing, side lining her own information to one of her own personal servers, along with some other intriguing information.
"Who is she? Girlfriend?" Max teased as she opened a separate window for Alica's information. "Let's see...it says that she's been taken to a secured facility in Houston...and then she was transferred to Omaha...and that was about 8 hours ago..." Max jumped at what happened next. "Geez!" She shrieked as the information she was looking at immediately changed. "I didn't know this thing updates itself ever hour...damn...they have some high tech technology...it looks like they're connected through a satellite...oh crap...I hope they still think we're one of them...cause this thing is on tracking system too..." She muttered as she momentarily got side-tracked. "Oh, but anyways, it says that she's escaped during a transfer to the Pennsylvania...somewhere on the border between New York..." Max scanned the report she found.

Will ignored Max's jibe. He wasn't about to let her get to him like that. A great sure of relief welled within him, hearing Alicia had escaped. As long as she could just stay low until her could get to her... And, hopefully, he could reach the airport without any incident. Martin had better still be unconscious... Pushing his foot down, he inched the speedometer up a few miles. "She's my sister." he said after a few minutes of silence. "I have to save her."

"Oh." Max suddenly felt stupid and a little guilty about teasing him. After a moment of awkward silence, Max feigned a smile. "Well, aren't you noble and shining armoresque?" She typed a few more things. "I've booked us a flight to New York; they've issued out one of their New York units to take over." She told Will, wondering what it was like to have a sibling, or a family member for that matter. As they drove onward towards the airport, Max idly thought about visiting the Metropolitan Museum...apparently the Mona Lisa was on display...that and an original Jackson Pollock.

"Good to know." Will said, turning onto a busy road. In a city as large as New York, though, there was bound to be more than one unit stationed there. Thinking back to Alicia's name on the screen, he remembered the words next to it. Precognition and Vampiresque qualities. What did vampiresque mean? As he pondered the implications of that word, and what might await him in New York, Will drove in a sort of trance to the airport. Eventually they reached the destination, and Will parked the hummer in the busy parking lot. "We should leave that here." he said, gesturing towards the laptop. "Don't want them tracking us to New York."

Max continued to stifle through the information as she imported most of the hard drive to her secured off shore server. She only hoped that whoever was behind this didn't notice the transfer. She made a note to visit Hemingway when they get to New York. He was one of her trusted contacts, and a man with abilities too. He usually was good on the up-take on the goings in and outs of the city. Feeling the hummer go into park, Max released her eyes from the screen. "It pangs me to leave such a wonderful device alone. Bye, sugar." She gently rubbed the computer before leaving it in the car. "We'll have to go to the First National Bank. I need to, uh, pick up some supplies." She replied casually as she lead the way towards the inside of the massive Sky Airport of Arizona.
Making her way to a small kiosk, Max printed out their tickets. She handed Will's his. "I hope you don't mind being in First Class. I have a bad back." She giggled as she strolled towards the security check. She froze before entering the line. "Dammit...I forgot one of my ids..." She patted her pockets, finding that she had left all her things in Texas and in the stupid jailhouse. She grinned, remembering something. "I almost forgot about my emergency ID." She pretended to go and tie her shoe, but instead, pushed the back of her heel and out popped a small compartment that held a fake ID. She resurfaced, daggling the Utah license. "I sometimes amaze myself." She mused as she got back in line.

With some amusment, Will watched Max make her farewell to the laptop. Smirking, he removed the pistol from behind his belt, carressing the barrel. Bringing the gun to his face, he kissed it tenderly, then shoved it underneath the driver's seat. "By Sugar." he said, mimicing Max and trying not to laugh. Grabbing his bag from the back, he slammed the door shut, he followed Max into the busy airport. For as long as he'd lived in Phoenix, he'd only been inside the Sky port a few times.
He watched Max curiously as she tied her shoe, threading the ticket between his fingers. He raised his eyebrows when she came back up with another ID. "Nice trick." he said, then moved with her into the line. Will inspected his ticket as he waited for his turn through security. First class... he was actually rather excited about flying in such luxury.

"Whatever." Max waved him off, slightly annoyed that he had made fun of her farewell towards the laptop. "Just don't get us kicked off the plane." She huffed out as she passed security with ease. As she passed it and Will was going through it, she thought she should be entitled for some revenge. Thinking of the stumbling geek with glasses and wore plaid, that she had met a long time ago, Max activated her telekinesis. Once Will was going through the metal detector, she would happily cause it to sound...just a couple of times.

About to step on the other side of the metal detector, the alarm suddenly went off. Will tensed, utterly confused as to why the alarm would be going off. He had left his pistol in the hummer, and he had no other metal on him. The security guard standing by the detector came over to him. "Allright, sir, step over here please." he said, indicating a spot on the other side. Will did as he was told, holding his arms out and his feet spaced apart. The guard came over with a metal dector wand, and scanned it over Will's body. Will waited patiently, watching Max. For some reason, he was sure she was behind this.

Finding nothing wrong with Will, the guard asked the man to go back and walk through the detector. Max grinned as Will was sent back. When he would walk through it again, she would happily wave her fingers...
"This will teach you to make fun of me." She mumbled, knowing this would aggravate him for wasting time. Max shrugged. They still had time to make their flight, what's wrong with having some fun before then?

Keeping calm, Will did as he was told and walked back through the detector. As before, the alarm went off, shril and annoying. He glanced immediately at Max. Only she could acheive this, with her many abilities. This time, the guard grabbed him a bit moer roughly and directed him away from the metal detector. "Spread your arms and legs." the man said in a no nonense tone.
"Yes sir." Will said, trying not to be sarcastic. Holding his arms out and spreading his legs, he endured the guards pat down with slowly building anger. "Clear. Walk back through, sir." Without saying a word, Will once more went back through the metal detector. The whole time he glared at Max, plotting his revenge.

Max hid in her laughter, but a huge grin was on her face when Will got patted down. "Okay, okay...I'm done." She snickered as Will went through the detector without a peep. She continued to giggle as she waited for him to catch up with her.

Successfully this time, Will strode through the metal detector. The guard waved him on, looking slightly annoyed. Grabbing his bag, he slung it over a shoulder and stalked over to Max. "Very cute." he said sarcastically. "I just love wasting time when at any moment my sister is getting closer to wherever those thugs are taking her." He wanted to shake the smile off her face. Shaking his head, he walked past her, anxious to get to their gate and board.
